The Rough Cooking cutting boards are traditionally made from good quality and locally sourced oak wood. Because the cutting board is equipped with a juice channel, the juices from the dish you are cutting will never end up next to the cutting board.
Wood is very hygienic. Bacteria don't have a chance because a vein closes itself again. This only happens if the wood remains greasy and does not dry out. To prevent this, each board is soaked in a bath with cutting board oil for 24 hours, and the owner must regularly lubricate the cutting board with this oil or a wood wax.
The cutting board is also equipped with anti-slip rubbers, so that the cutting board will remain in the same place and you can safely cut your vegetables and meat.
