Römertopf Modern
In the Römertopf, various ingredients such as meat, fish, potatoes, vegetables and even apples can be prepared in a healthy way. When roasting and stewing, maximum flavor, aroma and juice are retained, and no addition of fat is necessary. The use of the Römertopf dates back to Roman times, hence the name 'Roman stew'. Before use, the lid should be placed in cold water for at least 15 minutes to absorb moisture. Placing the dish with the lid in the oven and heating it slowly creates a steam environment that ensures evenly cooked dishes without loss of vitamins and nutrients. Burning is impossible.
The dish is sensitive to temperature fluctuations and should therefore never be placed in a preheated oven. Also, a hot dish should not be placed directly on a cold surface. The inside is glazed, which makes cleaning easy. The bowl is also microwave safe. A recipe booklet is included. This 4-person Römertopf is suitable for the preparation of approximately 2.5 kilos of meat, fish and other dishes.
