A selection of forty game recipes from the author's previously published cookbook 'Wild'* (2013) has been included in this small cookbook. The booklet starts with the history of hunting, continues with an explanation of game species (furred game and feathered game) and pays ample attention to basic techniques in game cooking in alphabetical order. Below are tips for game herb mixtures, recipes for basic game stock, stock, sauce and farce. After a number of side dishes, the chapters follow dishes with wild boar, deer, roe, hare and game birds. Most of the recipes have a descending photo with the end result. The recipe is described point by point in order of ingredients, plus number of people, preparation time and, if applicable, reference to 'delicious with' recipes. No nutritional values. Register is missing. An informative seasonal cookbook.
